Peace Park

The Peace Park, which is located close to The Surrender Point, was built by the Japanese as a tribute to the fallen soldiers in Borneo during World War II. It signifies the Japanese renunciation with a promise of peace and harmony for all mankind in future. The peace park is dominated by the memorial mound, and surrounded by beautiful landscaped gardens and pavilions with Japanese-inspired ponds, stone bridges and park seats.
