Atrium Bar
The Star Gold Coast, Casino Level
Wander over to The Star Gold Coast, accessible from inside our hotel, and make a beeline for Atrium Bar at the back of the casino floor. The bar was revamped a few years ago and it’s safe to say, the new and improved Atrium just hits different.
The bar boasts a bold aesthetic with an iconic disco ball that begs for all-night-long dancing. The space exudes retro-luxe vibes with a touch of nostalgia — think plush velvet seating, organic curves, pops of pink, and Instagram-worthy neon lights.
Alongside a fabulous selection of drinks, the Atrium boasts a weekly lineup of entertainment featuring DJs and live bands from Thursday through to Sunday.
Nineteen at the Star
Level 19, The Darling at The Star Gold Coast
We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again – nothing can top Nineteen at the Star when it comes to the best rooftop bars and restaurants on the Gold Coast. Allow the exceptionally trained wait staff to cater to your every wish as you indulge in delicious cocktails and breathtaking views.
While the restaurant is exquisite, we’ve fallen head over heels for Nineteen at the Star’s al fresco poolside bar. Step outside onto the terrace and marvel at the stunning Gold Coast skyline as you enjoy a perfectly crafted cocktail, spritz, or wine.
If you’re in the mood for a little VIP treatment, the bar’s private floating booth is a must. Step across smooth stone steps set into the pool and recline on the iconic circular lounge for the ultimate exclusive escapade.
And then, as the sun goes down, the DJs come out – the decks start pumping with good tunes and great vibes after dark, setting the scene for an unforgettable night out in Broadbeach.
Kiyomi Bar
The Star Gold Coast, Lobby Level
We’ve spoken about the luxury of Kiyomi before, but don’t forget about the bar. Our recommendation? Arrive a little early for your dinner reservation at this hatted establishment in The Star and spend some time at the bar – you’ll be glad you did.
Elevate your evening with a pre-dinner drink or a meticulously crafted cocktail from some of the Gold Coast’s finest bartenders. You’ll experience the distinct charm of an authentic Japanese bar, offering an impressive selection of Japanese whiskies, bottled beers, sake, shochu cocktails, and over 100 local and international wines.
Cherry
The Star Gold Coast, Main Gaming Floor
Another of the best cocktail bars on the Gold Coast is Cherry, a sophisticated venue that stops the show every time. Picture luxe VIP booths enclosed with intricate gold screens, lush velvet fabrics, sultry feature lighting, and pops of cherry red.
The centrepiece is a sprawling 22-metre bar, ensuring you won’t wait long for your next espresso martini or Cosmo.
Crafty mixologists are on hand to whip up your favourites or tempt you with Cherry’s signature concoctions like the Cherrytini or Red Carpet, and infused spirits such as smooth lemongrass and ginger gin.

Happy Endings
2707 Gold Coast Hwy, Broadbeach (above Fig & Frankie’s)
The Gold Coast has a knack for hidden gems, especially when it comes to bars. Happy Endings, Broadbeach's hottest Japanese-inspired speakeasy, epitomises this trend. In our eyes, it’s one of the best bars Gold Coast-wide.
Tucked away above the bustling Fig & Frankie’s, it's a playful nod to its former life as a massage parlour. Venture through the back alley, up the stairs, past the tattoo parlour, and you'll discover a cosy space buzzing with patrons.
The bar takes centre stage, boasting an array of Japanese spirits and a ten-piece cocktail menu that's inventive and delicious.
From small bites like kimchi and cheese taiyaki to larger dishes like wagyu tataki, the late-night snacks menu has something for everyone.
So, grab a seat, soak up the cosy atmosphere, and get ready for a memorable night out.
NAAMi
47 James St, Burleigh Heads
If we told you that one of the best bars on the Gold Coast is located behind a takeaway shop, would you believe us? Well, get ready to experience a next-level hidden bar oasis, because NAAMi is one venue that’s much more than meets the eye.
Step through the takeaway shop front and uncover this hidden speakeasy-inspired gem in boujee Burleigh. The setting offers an immersive journey through the back streets of Vietnam, while also serving up the freshest banh mi's with a modern twist.
With a diverse music selection to complement your drinks, NAAMi is more than just a bar – it's a social hub where you can indulge in the finer things in life and embark on an unforgettable adventure. Experience NAÂMi, where the city noise fades away and the excitement begins.
