The Shing Mun Valley Park occupies an area of 10.73 hectares. Equipped with both active and passive recreational facilities, it provides an ideal place for sports and leisure for the public. The Park is divided into the North Garden and the South Garden. The major facilities at the North Garden include tennis courts, fitness corner for elderly and a children's play area.

The facilities at the South Garden include a 7-a-side hard surfaced soccer pitch cum handball court, basketball courts cum volleyball court, fitness corner for elderly, pebble walking tiles and a children's play area. In addition, there is a four-tier artificial water feature built on the natural terrain, which measures a total of 3 500 square meters.

Located in Lo Wai Chuen, Tsuen Wan (10 minutes north of Tsuen Wan town centre) the village is home to many historic temples and monasteries. The Western Monastery occupies a huge area and is one of the most distinguished temples in the Tsuen Wan district.

There are fountains along the main axis and in the central plaza. Also in the central plaza are a series of site specific sculptures reinforcing the maritime theme. To work in concert with them is a main pond with lookout tower. In addition, sail-shaped structures which provide shade and focal points are located in sitting-out areas and the amphitheatre.

Sam Tung Uk Museum is now under the management of the Intangible Cultural Heritage Office. Declared a historical monument in 1981, this restored 200-year-old walled rural village located on Sai Lau Kok Road provides an insight into the lives of villagers in the New Territories centuries ago. The museum exhibits items that relate to historical rituals, festivals, and traditional craftsmanship, representing the efforts of villagers in developing, promoting, and passing on their customs and traditions.

Located in Tsuen Wan, Yuen Yuen Institute which was built in year 1950 on the hillside near Lo Wai Village, Tsuen Wan. Yuen Yuen Institute is a temple complex dedicated to three major religions, i.e. Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism. Yuen Yuen Institute also presents the Gardening Show every spring.

Ma Wan Park is a nature garden combines education, art and love. Thousands of native trees have been preserved here and the paths in the garden are terraced along natural landscapes. The Heritage Centre displays relics uncovered at Ma Wan.

Formerly an agricultural region that was famous for its green tea, Tai Mo Shan Country Park now attracts hiking enthusiasts thanks to the mountain that gives its name to it — Tai Mo Shan — the tallest peak in Hong Kong, and comprised of pure volcanic rock.

Mei Ho House is a physical symbol of the beginning of Hong Kong’s public housing policies, which documents the development of public housing and living conditions in Hong Kong from the 1950s to the 1970s. The building has been awarded an honourable mention by the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Heritage Awards for Cultural Heritage Conservation and now serves as a popular youth hostel.

Temple Street Night Market, a popular street bazaar, named after a Tin Hau temple located in the centre of its main drag, and a place so steeped in local atmosphere that it has served as the backdrop to many a memorable movie. There are many stalls selling trinkets, tea ware, electronics, watches, menswear, jade and antiques.

Ocean Park Hong Kong is a marine-life theme park featuring animals, thrill rides and shows. It is located on the southern side of Hong Kong Island, with an area of more than 915,000 square metres. The two major attractions areas, the Waterfront and the Summit, are connected by the Cable Car and Ocean Express funicular train.

Its vision is to create a vibrant cultural quarter for Hong Kong where the local arts scene can interact, develop and collaborate. When complete it will provide about 23 hectares of public open space with two kilometres of harbour-front promenade of 20 metres in width as well as a host of arts and cultural facilities that will produce and host world-class exhibitions, performances, and arts and cultural events.

The District’s major cultural facilities, the Arts Pavilion, the Art Park, Freespace, the Hong Kong Palace Museum, M+ and the Xiqu Centre are already open and present a diverse and exciting programme of events.

One of the top attractions in Hong Kong, Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade is located near the Victoria Harbour.
